Joint Heirs with Jesus

15 So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children.[h] Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”[i]16 For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. 17 And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. (Romans 8:15-17 NLT)

It’s incredible to think that the God of the Universe, the God who made everything, the God who has always and will always exist, gave His Son as a sacrifice for my sin and your sin so that we could be made righteous. What’s more, God has adopted us as His children, joint-heirs with Christ in God’s glory!

Our worship flows out of the revelation of that adoption. How can we keep from singing the name of God?! How can we keep quiet about the opportunity for anyone to join us in this adoption?! 16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave[a] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NLT)

Worship Hearts is a place where worship artists, worship arts pastors, and worshipers can find and share resources, gain insight, and encourage one another.

Worship is not just about songs, instruments, or beats.  Worship is what we reflect back to God from our hearts.  We worship in every area of our lives.  However, God has led me to share specifically about corporate worship.  When we gather together to lift His name, we create a beautiful harmony from our hearts to His.  Look for articles, ideas, and songs in upcoming posts.

God is spirit and His worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. John 4:24 (NIV)
